Sean Hannity ripped into special investigator Robert Mueller last night, calling for him to resign. He claims “conflicts of interest” specifically related to the Uranium One Deal makes him unfit to continue his investigation.

Hannity claimed that Mueller, who was FBI director when the deal was approved did not do enough to warn lawmakers about the corruption and bribery involved in the scandal. The resulting deal left around 20 percent of America’s uranium squarely in the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

But Hannity was just getting started in his screed:

“He said Mueller ‘should resign immediately tonight’ because his role as FBI director presents a ‘conflict of interest’ in his probe, which is looking into collusion between American actors and Russia.

“‘There’s no way the American people can trust Robert Mueller to investigate anything Russia related,’ he added.

“Hannity also called into question the roles of current Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who was in charge of the investigation into the deal at the time.

“He said Rosenstein and then-Attorney General Eric Holder should be questioned by Congress on the matter.

“‘How is it possible that they never recognized that giving Vladimir Putin 20 percent of our uranium was a good idea?’ Hannity asked.”

Do you agree that Robert Mueller should step down as the special investigator in charge of looking into Russian meddling? Has he lost all credibility? New information will be coming to light soon and it the issue may take center stage. While it seems unlikely that Mueller will step down himself, President Trump may be forced to fire him if enough evidence mounts supporting his dismissal.
