Robert Mueller has done nothing put pull at strings, trying to find something, anything to show Democrats about President Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia during the 2016 election. But as he finds out there is nothing there, Democrats have begun to pile on the rumors to try and smear the President.

Democratic congresspeople now seem dead set on the idea that President Trump is planning of firing Robert Mueller. Representative Jackie Speier (D-Cal.) made a statement prior to leaving Capitol Hill for the holidays.

“The rumor on the Hill when I left yesterday was that the president was going to make a significant speech at the end of next week. And on Dec. 22, when we are out of D.C., he was going to fire Robert Mueller.”

Rep. Speier was not the only one who had comments about the rumors. Senator Mark Warner (D-Va.) jumped straight from a rumor that the firing may happen, to criticizing President Trump for supposedly even thinking about it. Sen. Warner of course gave his statement to CNN, who happily ate up the ‘good news’ about another potential Trump scandal that did not really exist.

“Any attempt by this president to remove special counsel Mueller from his position or to pardon key witnesses in any effort to shield them from accountability or shut down the investigation would be a gross abuse of power and a flagrant violation of executive branch responsibilities and authorities.”

What makes these congresspeople’s statements so laughable is that the President has absolutely no intention of firing Robert Mueller, or interfering with the investigation in anyway. And Sarah Sanders. White House Press Secretary, is tired of trying to drill that into the Democrats’ heads.

“I want to be very clear and make sure that I address Sen. Warner’s concern for the 1,000th time: We have no intentions of firing Bob Mueller. We are continuing to work closely and cooperate with him. We look forward to seeing this hoax wrap up very soon.”

President Trump has repeatedly made statements that he is not going to fire Mueller, Sanders repeats those statements a thousand times, yet the Democrats and the media cannot seem to understand. One thing the media has criticized Trump for is speaking his mind without thinking about what he is saying. If that is true, why would it not apply here? If Trump says he is going (or not going, in this case) to do something he does (or doesn’t) do it.
