Now the liberal media has really lost it this time. An MSNBC analyst is suggesting that Rep. Devin Nunes, a California Republican, has been compromising with the Kremlin and is a Russian spy betraying his own party, reports The Washington Times.

Veteran MSNBC political analyst John Heilemann is the person who is raising this ridiculous claim that Nunes is actually working against President Trump’s interest and is a spy for the Russian government.

Nunes is the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and has been pushing for the secret memo outlining FBI abuses in the investigation of possible Russian collusion with the Trump campaign.

This analyst thinks that Nunes might be a double agent.

“Doesn’t his behavior speak of that, though?” he said, adding, “I mean, I’m not the first person who’s raised this. He’s behaving like someone who’s been compromised, and there are people in the intelligence community and others with great expertise in this area who look at him and say, ‘That guy’s been compromised.’”

Heilemann did not name anyone in the intel community who believes Nunes is a Kremlin agent and seems to believe that going off of one’s “behavior” is enough evidence to say that a lawmaker is actually a sleeper agent cell for the Russian government.

Perhaps the MSNBC analyst has been watching too many Soviet spy movies.

Nunes has been investigating the use of the Democratic party-financed dossier, to begin an investigation into Trump’s campaign. None of the claims in the dossier have been confirmed yet, so now it is just pile of baseless charges against Trump.

The dossier was written during the 2016 election based on Kremlin sources and used by the FBI. Republicans say that if any one is conspiring with Russians to influence an election it is the Democrats.

To this day, Rep. Adam Schiff of California, ranking Democrat on Nunes‘ committee, cites the dossier’s unproven felony charges when questioning witnesses and is a fan of its writer, former British spy Christopher Steele.
