An illegal immigrant, who never should have been in the United States in the first place, was arrested and charged with starting a wildfire that consumer over 40,000 acres of forest in Colorado. The fire, which still is not contained, has around 215 firefighters battling the flames.

Jesper Joergensen was arrested for intentionally starting the fire. He will be turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after facing arson charges.

“The initial cause of the fire was human caused,” the sheriff’s department stated via Facebook.

Jorgensen’s nationality is currently unknown. He is 52 and was arrested by Costilla County Sheriff’s office. It is also unknown how he started the fire.

ABC News reports that the “fire is currently burning in a rural, mountainous region in southern Colorado near Great Sand Dunes National Park.” Yesterday, residents were ordered to evacuate their homes.
