The left is going to be really disappointed when they read the whole indictment of former Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort. Early reports from CNN and other left-wing media outlets were downright jubilant in their hopes that this would bring down President Trump.
But that’s not going to happen.
In fact, there is nothing in the indictment that leads to President Trump, his campaign, or his family. Also, there is NOTHING in the indictment about Russian collusion. It looks like everything that he is being charged with occurred prior to joining the Trump campaign. This is what we know from the indictment:
“Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his business associate, Rick Gates, have been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of conspiracy against the United States and other felony charges.
“The indictments unsealed Monday in Washington contain 12 counts, including conspiracy to launder money, failing to register as a foreign agent, false statements, and multiple counts of failing to file reports for foreign bank accounts.”

And there is no mention of Russian collusion or Donald Trump:
The PDF isn't searchable, but fwiw I can't find any instance of the word "Trump" either. https://t.co/Rp9LEQ3wqH

It looks like Manafort did some shady things but there is no connection to Russia or the Trump campaign:

And even though CNN is trying to spin this as some sort of Russian super conspiracy, the facts don’t justify it:
