The liberal fight against symbols of the Confederacy still continues, this time it travels to churches.

The Washington National Cathedral has decided to remove two windows that honor Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. This comes after the whole country is being plagued by left-wing crazies that want to erase history.

“The recent violence in Charlottesville brought urgency to our discernment process. We find ourselves compelled by the witness of others, moved by the presence of God in our midst and convicted that the Holy Spirit is pointing us toward the answer,” Chairmen of the Washington Diocese said in a statement.

“The continued presence of white supremacy, anti-Semitism and other forms of hate in our nation cannot be ignored — nor will they be solved simply by removing these windows or other monuments. The racial wounds that we have seen across our nation compel us to renew our commitment to building God’s beloved community.”

The left seems to think that by getting rid of symbols they think represent slavery and hatred, they are somehow doing everyone a favor. When in reality, they are just trying to erase the not so pretty parts of our past. But they seem to like living in the past and not looking towards the future. Liberals do not understand that you cannot change history by taking down statues, changing names of schools, or deleting history books.

Taking down these windows of Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson is like trying to delete their accomplishments from history. You can’t erase the past. So why does the left keep trying? These men were not perfect, but they helped shape our nation to its current state, and if the snowflake liberals do not like it, they can find somewhere else to live and worship.
